Negros offers some excellent diving. You can choose between steep walls and large fish on Apo Island and several marine sanctuaries (Dauin reef, Masaplot and Apo) and muck diving of the best in Dauin. For great night dives choose the house reefs of your dive operator - you will surely find some very special animals there!

Sumilon is a tiny island about 20 minutes by boat from Tan-awan, Oslob. The island is part of Bancogon, Oslob and hosts the Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort. It's only about 24 hectares, so tourists can roam around the island by foot in a couple of hours.

It is basically an island towards the North Bais Bay in the Tañon Strait that emerges only during low tides. On the island you can find native wooden houses built on stilts – and which, during high tide, appears to be floating on the water. Dauin Marine Sanctuaries The coast of Dauin offers scuba dive sites with both coral reef and muck dive opportunities. The municipality has established several sanctuaries where fishing and boating is absolutely prohibited. This includes sites such as Mainit sanctuary, Luca sanctuary, Dauin sanctuary and Masaplod sanctuary. These sites are well preserved and offer a huge variety and quantity of aquatic life forms. Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao One of the major tourist attractions in the province, Lake Balinsasayao is a protected Natural Park, home to an expansive ecosystem and great biodiversity. The area is surrounded by lush tropical greens and vegetation. Age old trees, giant ferns and other exotic plants and orchids are among its natural inhabitants. The lake is teeming with fish making it an ideal fishing ground.
