About Negros Oriental

The Philippine archipelago comprises of 7,107 islands situated between the Philippine Sea and the South China Sea. Negros Oriental Province is situated in the southeast of Negros Island and the middle point of the Central Visayas region, 1 hour flight away from Manila and 30 minutes away from Cebu, and has a total landmass of 5,401 square kilometers. Negros Oriental is mostly about nature and people. Occupying a modest southeast fraction of Negros Island constitute the largest land area of the Central Visayas provinces.

How to get there

There are many ways to arrive at Puertocita's Beach Resort – by plane, ferry or overland. Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific both fly to Dumaguete twice daily from Manila, and the flights take 1.15 hours.

International and domestic flights usually depart from different terminals and as there is quite a distance between terminals, so make sure to check flight details carefully and leave a lot of time between flights.

Cebu Pacific flies once per day between Dumaguete and Cebu City, which is a 25 minutes flight.

Once you land in Dumaguete/Sibulan Airport, the ride to the resort takes around 30 minutes by car. Another option is the "Tricycle" and it takes around 45 minutes to reach the resort.

Negros Island can also be reached by road from Cebu City via a 3.5 hour car/bus ride to the southern tip of Cebu Island, where ferries leaves hourly all day until late in the evening. The ferry takes around 30 minutes. If you travel by bus, buy a ticket from Cebu to Dumaguete. This includes all taxes for the whole journey.

Ferries also travel from Cebu City to Dumaguete, it is a four housr journey with a short stop at Bohol Island (Tagbilaran) and the most commun way to travel in the Philippines.

Our Location

The Beach Resort is located very close to the small village of Dauin, approximately 20 km south of the Negros capital Dumaguete. Miles of sandy shoreline outside of the typhoon belt and an all-year tropical climate invites you for walks along the beach. Swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving or just to enjoy and relax.
